Join us for the Summer Youth Rally in beautiful Herefordshire countryside
At this year’s Summer Youth Rally, we will be continuing our studies in the catechism under the theme “Lord, Teach us to pray”. Why does God command us to pray to him? Why did Jesus teach us to pray in this particular way? What do the petitions of the Lord’s Prayer mean?
Come and study the Scriptures with us as we seek to answer these questions.
Treago Castle is a mediaeval castle converted into a manor house. It’s a private home, whose owners are opening their doors for ELCE Youth, just as they have done before. A beautiful house in a beautiful setting – a perfect place to spend the August Bank Holiday weekend!
What to expect
- Daily worship (Matins and Compline)
- Bible studies and discussions — including opportunities to ask your questions
- Outdoor and indoor activities
- Games & free time
- Swimming
- On Sunday, we will be joining members of several ELCE congregations and missions for a summer festival and Divine Service in Wells, Somerset
Who is it for?
Secondary school & College pupils (aged 11–18) — including anyone about to go into Year 7, or just leaving school.
There are a limited number of spaces available, so please book as early as possible.
How to get there
The nearest railway station is Hereford, and you can be picked up from there. The Board for Youth will run a minibus (£15 per person) from Hampshire via M25, M40 and A40 to Treago. You can book a place on the minibus via the registration form.
What does it cost?
£50 per person (£30 for second sibling; £15 for third and subsequent siblings)
This does not reflect the true cost of the youth rally as we do not want money to be a barrier for attendance. If you are unable to pay the full amount or have queries about the prices, please contact us using the email address youth@lutheranchurch.org.uk
If you are able to give more than this amount to support the work of the ELCE Board for Youth, any extra contributions would be greatly appreciated.
